Eminent Fighting Championship (EFC) was born out of a desire to take Muay Thai in Singapore to the next level and help it reach international standards by providing a consistent and professional platform for athletes to forge and sharpen their skills. With the support of World Boxing Council Muaythai Singapore, EFC will act as the central platform to create opportunities, both locally and overseas, for local athletes to gain experience and confidence. We will also partner with local gyms and organisation bodies to strengthen their knowledge of authentic Muay Thai. EFC is an organisation with heart. When COVID-19 restrictions in Singapore brought Muay Thai events to a halt, EFC found a way to organise two successful fight events – without ticket sales and driven by own funding. Our sole purpose was to encourage local athletes not to give up. In the same way, we will continue to support and help the local Muay Thai community and put Singapore on the map for this sport. World Boxing Council (WBC) Muaythai Singapore works hand in hand with EFC. It was set up to promote Singapore as a premier Muaythai destination for international fights. Its goal is to support local fighters by giving them opportunities for consistent growth in the sport of Muaythai and foster and encourage public appreciation and patronage for the sport and culture of Muaythai in accordance with Thai traditions. Both EFC and WBC are honoured to host this Muaythai competition at the Royal Thai Embassy grounds in Singapore for the first time in history. We continue to break new grounds by bringing the 147 LBS WBC Muaythai International title to Singapore for this event, also a first in WBC history. We’re extremely excited to have two formidable fighters — Singapore’s Brandon Ng and Australia’s Damon Nelson — battling for this title and the right to be crowned Champion !
